pregnancy memories: daddy's little girl

mommy and daddy woke up very excited today! daddy got the morning off of work so that he could come with me to the mid-pregnancy ultrasound. this was an extra special office visit little bird, because we finally got to see what you are! and you were very ladylike about it ;) but gee, you turned into a stubborn little girl as soon as the ultrasound tech needed to get some measurements. you refused to turn over, even after being jiggled and prodded! we got to keep every single one of the pictures that she took though. when we got home, daddy went straight to the fridge to hang one up so that we can see you every day! we love you little bird! we are so excited that we are already halfway to seeing your precious little face! we had a special way to tell Grama and Grampa Stowers that you're a girl, and it was all your dad's idea! we filled white cupcakes with pink frosting and then topped them off with white frosting so that none of the pink was showing. then we took them over and no one even noticed! i sat at the kitchen table next to Grampa and winked at him, then he looked at his cupcake and the pink frosting peeking through and looked back at me just beaming! He looked so proud :) Grama didn't understand why we had given her a cupcake at first, but then she saw the pink frosting and started talking a thousand miles a minute about all the fun clothes she is going to make. you are already so spoiled my sweet girl! i have all sorts of ideas for your room already too. i hope you will like it! daddy is very excited too, he has big plans for you sweetheart; changing spare tires and doing boy-type stuff, you're definitely going to be his little girl! we love you sweet bird. the dr says you are in the 51st percentile for growth, which means you're right on track. you are doing so wonderfully, and momma is so very proud of you! hold on little one, we're halfway there! :)
